Dropbox takes away the hassle of sharing files, attaching them to email, saving them to your USB drive and transferring them to another computer. This file hosting service is free and very straightforwardly easy to use. You just put create your account, put your files in the folder and you can access them anywhere or share them to whomever you want to share them with. It automatically syncs and updates so once the update is done, you are good as ready to access those files elsewhere. You can share files from your computer to your smartphone or vice versa so you don’t have to email yourself anymore. I cannot really express how easy and convenient Dropbox is. It’s simply a really big help that cuts corners with great efficiency. Dropbox has been around for a couple of years now, about 5 to be more precise. It wasn’t immediately popular but you would really notice how it has become popular recently.
Dropbox is free up to 2GB but you can buy additional storage
if you need it. 2GB is more than enough for files and photos but if you’re
using Dropbox for work and you need that extra storage, paying for it is well
worth it. Otherwise, you would have to invest on USB drives or CDs anyway.
Although you cannot edit files synchronously with others who have access to the
same files, you do get access to the history of actions done on the files. Bottom line is this file sharing application
makes life tremendously easier.
