Google Drive

So Google drive is not only for the computers anymore. You can get it installed in your smartphone and access all the files from there. You can download the files, edit synchronously and share your files with a few easy steps. It is integrate with your email, preferably your G-mail account. You can get up 15GB of storage for free and your drive is accessible from anywhere you have Google Drive installed. It used to be such a task sending files to and fro especially if both parties are doing some edits and what not. With Google Drive, you can edit spreadsheets, documents and other files together at the same time or one after the other without having to send files back and forth. The changes are automatically saved and you don’t even have to push the save button.

Google Drive works more conveniently with a computer because it is still generally easier to edit files from there right? But if you are accessing files from your smartphones and you want to edit some files too, you can do so just as easily. I love how this app saves me a lot of time. I have way too many tasks and without these productivity apps, especially Google Drive, I’d be spending more than half of my time sorting out everything.

Trello – Keep Track of Everything for Free

Trello helps you organize efficiently. If you have different projects going on and you want to make sure you can keep track of the progress of each project without mixing them up, Trello can help you do just that. You can create different boards or cards where you can create a checklist of to-dos, get updates on your boards from other members, check who is working and track their progress and upload photos and videos relevant to the project.

What I like most about Trello is how easy it can fulfill your needs. Whether you use it on your computer or on your mobile, you can do all the same functions and thus experience efficiency in anyway. Everybody gets the same access to the content needed for every project so you don’t have to send everything to multiple employees. Trello is an intuitive app and so it makes you understand what it does right away. This web-based collaboration tool is efficiency at its best especially if you’re the one assigning tasks. I still ponder why the team who built it generously offered it for free because it’s easy to see how they can make a lot of money out of it.

Dropbox – Back Up and File Sharing Made Easy

Dropbox takes away the hassle of sharing files, attaching them to email, saving them to your USB drive and transferring them to another computer. This file hosting service is free and very straightforwardly easy to use. You just put create your account, put your files in the folder and you can access them anywhere or share them to whomever you want to share them with. It automatically syncs and updates so once the update is done, you are good as ready to access those files elsewhere. You can share files from your computer to your smartphone or vice versa so you don’t have to email yourself anymore. I cannot really express how easy and convenient Dropbox is. It’s simply a really big help that cuts corners with great efficiency. Dropbox has been around for a couple of years now, about 5 to be more precise. It wasn’t immediately popular but you would really notice how it has become popular recently.

Dropbox is free up to 2GB but you can buy additional storage if you need it. 2GB is more than enough for files and photos but if you’re using Dropbox for work and you need that extra storage, paying for it is well worth it. Otherwise, you would have to invest on USB drives or CDs anyway. Although you cannot edit files synchronously with others who have access to the same files, you do get access to the history of actions done on the files.  Bottom line is this file sharing application makes life tremendously easier.

Mobile Apps Blog

Because many of us are becoming too busy keeping up with everything we have to do it pays a lot to put our smartphones to great use with productivity tools.

Hello! My name is David and my blog will talk about mobile apps. Okay, in general, there are millions out there and I would not be able to talk about everything for sure. What I do want to do is talk about some of the best productivity apps for mobile devices out there. From cloud storage to task and file division, there are some great apps that deserve recognition so to help you get everything sorted out, I will talk about those in my coming blogs.

That’s it then. There’s really not much to talk about me except that I love how some things can make life very convenient. Since I’m a guy, I’m expected to not have my act together when it comes to my stuff. I am no longer taking offense with that because most of the time it’s true. My closet may not be as orderly as it should be but mind you, my work stuff are, thanks to these productivity apps.
